National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Our National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) course is designed for individuals aspiring to become qualified lifeguards.
This rigorous program covers essential skills, knowledge, and competencies required for effective lifeguarding in swimming pool environments. Participants will learn rescue techniques, casualty management, CPR, first aid, and poolside supervision.
Our experienced trainers, who are certified by the relevant governing bodies, will guide participants through practical exercises and simulations to ensure they are well-prepared to maintain the safety of swimmers and respond to emergencies.
HW Training Services owner, Harry, is a Trainer Assessor. He is also NRASTC qualified! (National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches). All of our pool courses are taught through the RLSS (Royal Lifeguard Saving Society).
National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ)

Aquatic Therapy Shallow Pool Rescue Award (ATSPRA)
Our Aquatic Therapy Certification course is designed for individuals interested in gaining qualifications and expertise in pool rescue.
This comprehensive training program focuses on addressing the distinctive considerations and potential challenges in aquatic settings. Participants will acquire critical skills, including specialised water-based techniques, patient care and safety, and first aid protocols.

Emergency Response
This course is designed for anyone who has responsibility over a swimming pool in the event of an emergency. Either rescuing, or assisting a rescue.
This course is not a replacement for a lifeguard qualification, it is an additional qualification to prepare individuals for pool rescue.
This two day course involves vital first aid, including CPR and AED, as well as how to rescue and recover a casualty in a poolside emergency.
